Psychedelic leadership retreat

The goal of this program is to identify and nurture leaders who work with Black populations within the psychedelic space, as well as to create self-sustaining networks and pathways.

We are bringing together people who are already working in the community to learn from one another and gain knowledge from Black experts on specific topics that impact Black psychedelia.

In the United States, none of the data collected thus far pertains to Black people because there have not been enough Black subjects in these research trials.  So the knowledge we have about psychedelics and Black people must come from the community, ancestral, and anecdotal knowledge.

Dr. Akua Brown: Black Physical Health and Psychedelics

Roz McMillian, MFT : Black  Recovery/ Substance Use and Psychedelics

Letitica Brown, MFT:  Black Sex/Sexuality and Psychedelics

Ayize Jama Everett, M.Div, M.A. MF.A: Black Spirituality and Psychedelics

Why This Matters

The data we have does not reflect the realities, needs, or wisdom of Black people in the United States.

This program aims to honor, amplify, and formalize that knowledge.

The training is scheduled to take place over two days,

Friday and Saturday, March 14 -15, 2026 in Oakland, California.
